The Itanagar International Film Festival - Itanagar is
embarking on a journey to showcase premium films from
various corners of the globe while also extending support,
acknowledgment, and respect to indie filmmakers. This
endeavor is a salute to the cinema community in the
North-eastern region of India. The objective of this
initiative is to forge a nexus where budding and experienced
filmmakers can collaborate and delve deep into the
multifaceted world of filmmaking. Harmonizing a rich blend
of cultural heritage with modernity, Itanagar stands as a
vibrant and lively oasis in the northeast. The city,
renowned as an exotic capital, unfolds the beauty of
Arunachal Pradesh, offering glimpses into its rich culture
and breathtaking landscapes.
The mission of this initiative is to uncover
exceptional art-house films from across continents. This
initiative has been launched to create a nurturing
environment for the extraordinarily gifted independent indie
filmmakers who have ventured into crafting narratives that
stand apart from the mainstream. A cornerstone of this
project is to widen the audience base for indie films,
fostering a deeper appreciation and affection for them.
Each project officially Selected monthly will be honoured with a laurel and a
certificate, while the victors will be bestowed with a personalised certificate and laurel,
along with ratings on their respective IMDb pages (if applicable). These monthly winners will be
directly shortlisted for our annual live screening event and the prestigious Golden Hornbill
Award, representing the pinnacle of achievement.
The accolades are distributed across the following categories:
All filmmakers acknowledge and agree that, in the event of their film being chosen for
presentation and screening at the Itanagar International Film Festival, they confer
comprehensive and unrestricted authorisation to the Itanagar International Film Festival to
exhibit the film/video at moments designated by the festival, and to levy an entry fee for the
screening of the digital video program.
The filmmaker acknowledges and consents to forgo any share in the revenues generated from
the box-office, which are entirely accumulated by the Itanagar International Film Festival to
offset the overarching expenses incurred during the festival presentation. It is pertinent to
document that the revenues from the box-office do not suffice to meet the expenditures
associated with the presentation of the Feature and Short Film Programs. The Itanagar
International Film Festival operates as a non-profit, cultural entity, enjoying tax exemptions
at various governmental levels.
Mandatory Legal Details: The filmmaker absolves the Itanagar International Film Festival
from any potential liability concerning damage or loss of the submitted DCP. The filmmaker
recognizes that the submitted DCP will be safeguarded in a secure facility by the Itanagar
International Film Festival, with stringent measures in place to regulate and secure the viewing
of this production. The Itanagar International Film Festival disclaims any liability for theft,
infringement of copyright, or piracy of the submission.
We employ advanced Pioneer International playback systems compatible with all formats and
regions, including Region 0. All submissions undergo meticulous pre-screening before public
viewing to ensure that the DCP adheres to industry standards. The Itanagar International Film
Festival does not bear any responsibility for technical glitches during the projection of this
video at the actual event.
The Itanagar International Film Festival retains absolute discretion to modify the program's
dates and times and may choose not to showcase the video, even if it has been selected for
screening.
The filmmaker commits to providing the Itanagar International Film Festival with a newly
verified and pre-examined Hard disk/DCP for the actual projection of the video
during the festival.
